This was session number 2 of 4 scheduled with this amazing family. We are creating a quad in their home with the best images of siblings Alice and Adam from each of their summer, fall, winter, and spring sessions. Mom and I have had a Zoom planning meeting before each of their four sessions to discuss where the session should take place, what the kids are interested in, and what everyone should wear. We kept it casual for fall and helped Mama pick out some well-coordinated items from their closet.

We are also building an album with the best images from each session. Two sessions (Fall and Spring) include both parents, so the album is really a celebration of their family and this sweet time when the littles are still little. We got several frame-worthy images of the siblings together, as well as gorgeous documentary and lifestyle images of the family.

There are several family portraits that include dad as well as portraits of just dad and the kids that I have left out of the post because dad prefers his privacy. The images are amazing, but I deeply respect all of my clients' privacy requests and adhere to them 100%.

You’ll notice there are a lot of action images; we rarely stop moving during sessions with the 5 and under crowd. We play games, race, and explore. These portraits remind me of the days I spent playing and exploring with my son, Jack, in Central Park during his first two years of life. It’s a treat to go back to my old neighborhood and visit spots in the beautiful park that I know so well. I love sessions with young children because I know from experience that soon the parents will be looking back at these images and smiling about the stage they were in.
