IN-HOME NEWBORN
An in-home newborn session is ideal if you want to preserve your family’s story in hte place it naturally unfolds: home. These sessions are more lifestyle in feel, using your home, nursery, bedroom, or living spaces as part of the backdrop.
In-home sessions are relaxed, personal, and meaningful. Studio lighting and wardrobe are brought to your home for ease.

I’m happy to discuss the benefits of each in more detail and help you make the right choice.
But, as a general guide, I recommend the studio if you want the most done-for-you experience, with simple yet stunning minimalist portraits. If you love the look of baby posed on a smooth white background, that’s photographed on my newborn beanbag and is only available in the studio.
I generally recommend an in-home session if you prefer a more documentary, lifestyle feel and want your home home to be the backdrop and the nursery you lovingly prepared beautifully documented.
With wardrobe and studio light available for either location, you really can’t go wrong.

After your session, I’ll help you choose the images that mean the most and decide how you would like to preserve them, whether as framed artwork, an heirloom album, matted fine art prints, or a curated set of digital images.

Yes. I’ll guide you through wardrobe planning before your session. Many clients love the ease of our studio wardrobe, which you can browse during an in person planning appointment. I can also provide guidance if you would like to style yourself. Either way, I’ll help you choose simple, timeless pieces that photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your baby and family connection.
What if my baby needs to eat or be changed during the session?

Feeding, changing, soothing, and snuggling breaks are all expected. Newborn sessions are intentionally flexible and baby-led, so we will follow your baby’s pace rather than forcing a strict schedule. We have as much time as we need to create the images you’ll adore.
After your session, we’ll view your proofs together and I’ll help you choose your favorite images. I’ll also guide you through artwork options, including framed portraits, heirloom albums, matted fine art prints, and digital image collections, so you are not left to sort through everything on your own.

Newborn session investment depends on whether you choose a studio or in-home newborn session, as well as the images and artwork you select afterward.
Most newborn families invest between $1,500 and $4,000+ in their experience and finished portraits, which may include digital image collections, framed artwork, matted fine art prints, or a custom heirloom album.
First Year Membership options are also available for families planning multiple baby sessions.
