Classic Six Month Baby Portraits for Sweet Sam
While there are many baby photographers in New Jersey, and countless newborn photography studios, it can be hard to find a photographer that specializes in clean, classic baby portraits. I love babies and think they look beautiful any way you style their portraits, but minimalist and classic images are my absolute favorite. I know baby will adore this style when they are grown, and this beautiful style of baby photography will look gorgeous on the walls of anyone’s home.
I am absolutely spoiled because I get to photograph this sweet baby multiple times over her first year of life; her parents joined my portrait membership so they wouldn’t miss a single detail of this fun and adorable time. I love watching the little ones grow and change from session to session, and seeing their little personalities bloom.
For this New Jersey family we first met for studio maternity photography, shortly followed by a newborn session in their Maplewood, NJ home once baby Sam arrived. While they orgiinally reserved just three classic sessions (maternity, newborn, and first birthday), when they came in to view their newborn images mom and dad decided to use the final classic session for a fall family outdoors session, and add on smaller two studio celebration sessions for Sam’s milestones at 6 months and first birthday. Celebration sessions are perfect for a smaller number of gorgeous, classic images of your baby or child to celebrate a milestone, and you can see exactly the quality of beautiful baby portraits we create during a six month baby milestone session.
The studio is my favorite place for 6 months baby photos because I love a biright, clean, minimalist background. With these simple portraits, you can focus on the details like the baby’s sweet expressions, chubby cheeks, tiny feet…. all the yummy details. Celebration sessions always take place on weekdays, but because I work with studio light, we can schedule your session around your baby’s napping and feeding schedule. This flexibility makes the session much easier for mom, dad, and baby.
How does one choose when I can create so many gorgeous portraits in a short amount of time? After the session I do the heavy work of culling the gallery down to the very best images. I lightly edit these best of the best images for mom and dad to view when they return to the studio for their viewing and design appointment. While this may seem like a daunting task, trust me when I say that it would be much more difficult if I emailed you a large gallery of beautiful images of your baby. Trying to sort through a gallery on your own can be overwhelming. When my clients come into the studio or meet me via Zoom, I am here to help you discuss how you will actually use the images in order to prioritize and narrow things down. It becomes a fun process to sort through the images and talk about the different aspects of each piece. Dad was particularly helpful in narrowing down their favorite images of Sam, which I absolutely loved.
Working with this family is so much fun. It is obvious to anyone who sees them that they love their baby girl very much. I cannot wait to see them again for an outdoor family session in Northern New Jersey this fall.
