Manhattan and NJ newborn photographer | Welcome to the portrait studio Weston

When you decide you would like me to be your newborn photographer in Northern NJ or Manhattan, you are commissioning an artist to begin building your family’s visual legacy. Think about that for a few minutes.

I’d like to speak a few moments about “commissioning an artist,” because I offer NJ newborn photography sessions in a variety of places, which means that light will invariably vary, and, as someone who hand edits each final image, it’s worth noting that my editing style shifts according to the light and mood of my subjects and the goals of the commission.

When you commission me as your family’s artist, you trust my vision. Whether at the new Maplewood, NJ newborn photography studio or at an in home newborn photography session in Manhattan, after every session I pour over the images and make modifications to achieve my vision. One of the most important decisions is whether an image looks best in color, black and white, or equally compelling in both. Most times I choose one, sometimes I believe both are equally beautifully options, and during our reveal session we will look together at my artistic decisions and discuss which final portraits work best for your home.

Below are just a handful of favorite images created during a beautiful studio newborn photography session. You’ll notice that some are color, some are black and white, and you won’t see it, but, a variety of them I hand edited in both color and black and white (I chose to share only one version here). As you can see, I do have a fondness for black and white. I hope you enjoy the variety of tones and how it shifts the emotion of each image.
