Northern NJ Newborn Photographer | Baby Theodore's in home newborn session in New Jersey

Nicole Hawkins is officially a North Jersey newborn photographer! I am thrilled to announce that NHP will now be offering lifestyle in home newborn photography and family photo sessions throughout Northern New Jersey, with a focus on Essex County and the surrounding areas such as Bergen, Hudson, and Morris County. Over the last three years while I was based in New York City, I created gorgeous maternity and newborn photos for clients residing in Hoboken, Weehawken, Teaneck, Fort Lee, and Jersey City. Most clients opted to come to my Manhattan photography studio or visit Central Park, but my family and I will soon relocate to Essex County, which opens up the door for additional sessions in the New Jersey area, soon. You can look forward to a NJ newborn and family portrait studio in 2021. Until then, New Jersey families can experience the comfort of in home and on location sessions near their home, while receiving the perks all my NYC clients receive, such as use of the extensive client wardrobe, choice of in person or video conference consultations, and design services to ensure your favorite images are easily accessible and preserved for future generations.

If you are wondering whether you should select a studio or in home lifestyle newborn session, I have detailed the benefits of an in home session here. From the start, I have always loved visiting client homes. Yes, I will bring studio wardrobe to your home. Yes, I will work with the light you have or bring my own to supplement what is already available. Yes, we will create treasured portraits that you and your babies will love for decades to come.

As an example of what we can accomplish in an apartment in Jersey City, here we have Teresa’s gorgeous in home NJ newborn photography session. She and her husband were so excited to meet their sweet baby boy. On our phone consultation we went over the light in her home and styling for the session. Teresa wanted something white and off the shoulder, which was easy to accommodate because my client wardrobe has many options in a variety of sizes. During our FaceTime call, Teresa could see all I offer, as well as the favorite options I pre-selected for her based on her size and preference.

Like many expecting moms, Teresa wasn’t sure what clothing she would feel best in after giving birth, so I suggested I bring her top three choices, which would allow her to decide in person the morning of her session. I find this works very well for most of my in home clients.

When I arrived, mom had her hair and makeup complete. While she tried on dresses I helped Dad select a coordinating shirt from his wardrobe.

Their baby, Theodore, had a beautiful nursery, which was styled with such love.

With gorgeous styling, a relaxed atmosphere, and my expert knowledge of light, we created these gorgeous images for the family to enjoy for years to come.
