Prior to our newborn/family shoot in her studio, she helped plan color scheme and asked a bit about us so that she could get to know who she was shooting. She was very good with our toddler, who wasn't the easiest to warm up to the camera. In addition, I watched as she took some of the newborn photos, and one could just see how engrossed and excited she was about her work.
