The Baby’s First Year Membership is a simple way to plan maternity, newborn, sitter, and first birthday portraits in advance. Designed for families in Northern New Jersey who want their baby’s first year photographed beautifully and preserved in a custom heirloom album, this membership keeps the process easy, guided, and thoughtfully planned from the beginning.

Your Baby’s First Year, Planned in Advance

The First Year Baby Membership is designed for families who already know they want to document the most meaningful milestones of their baby’s first year, without having to start from scratch each time.

Together, we’ll plan for:

Newborn portraits in the first weeks of life, while your baby is still tiny and new.

Sitter portraits around the age when your baby is sitting, smiling, and full of personality.

First birthday portraits to celebrate the end of baby’s first year and the beginning of toddlerhood.

Each session is planned with your baby’s age, personality, wardrobe, and final artwork in mind, so the full year feels cohesive instead of pieced together one session at a time.

Our most popular option for busy parents expecting a new baby. Allow Nicole Hawkins Photography to help you preserve your baby’s first year in the easiest, and most beautiful way possible.

Enrollment | $500*
Your enrollment reserves your membership and is applied toward your First Year Album.

Enjoy:

  • Complimentary Mom + Partner Petite Studio Maternity Session with 10 digital images.

  • Three Signature Sessions with session fees waived: newborn, sitter, and first birthday. Sessions may be planned in the studio, at home, or outdoors.

  • Priority scheduling throughout baby’s first year

  • Custom 30-image First Year Album with preferred member pricing: $1,500

  • $500 enrollment credit applied toward your First Year Album (frames and prints may be added on a la carte)

Digital collections purchased separately after each Signature Session.

After each milestone, you will select the images you love most and purchase the digital collection that best suits your needs, starting from $1,200. Your album purchase will be made after the first birthday session with your preferred pricing applied.

Only 12 Portrait Memberships are available annually.

*NYC and locations beyond 20 miles of Maplewood may require a custom enrollment fee.

Complimentary Petite Studio Maternity Session

Your membership includes a complimentary Mom + Partner Petite Maternity Session with 10 digital images.

If this is not your first baby and you would love to include an older sibling, you may upgrade to a Petite Family Maternity Session for $200. This allows us to include one child, create a few family portraits, and keep the session relaxed and thoughtfully planned.

Favorite Images, Artwork, and Your First Year Album

After each membership session, you’ll choose your favorite portraits just as you normally would.

You do not need to decide everything in advance. After each session, I’ll guide you through your proof gallery and help you choose the images and finished pieces that make the most sense for your family.

At your baby’s first birthday ordering appointment, I’ll also present a thoughtfully designed First Year Album using favorite portraits from your maternity, newborn, sitter, and first birthday sessions.

30-image First Year Album — $1,500
Membership enrollment credit applied — $500
Final album balance — $1,000
À la carte 30-image album value: $2,550.

Additional album images from your previously purchased favorites may be added at the preferred member rate of $50 per image.
