This little family has my heart. I have been documenting their milestones for several years now, and they are such a joy to work with. Baby Juliette is the third little girl to join the family. Mom, Dad, and big sisters Olivia and Ella are so excited to have Juliette here to complete their family.

During our pre-session consultation, Mom expressed that she wanted Juliette’s newborns to feel cohesive with the images from our previous sessions together. Mom has been designing a gallery wall containing portraits from Ella’s newborn session, Olivia’s second birthday session, and Ella’s first birthday. We kept these images classic and neutral so that they would fit the style and decor of the family’s beautiful home, so I knew we would want to do the same with baby Juliette’s photos. Mom also let me know that she loves blue and white and has decorated their home in these tones. I encouraged her to dress in these colors. She was excited to choose outfits for her and the girls that fit her style so beautifully.

On the day of our session, my preferred hair and makeup artist met us at the family home to prepare Mom. It is so relaxing for my clients when they opt-in for this service. While Mom was being pampered, I began documenting baby Juliette in her solo portraits. The big sisters are sharing a room and loved to show me their favorite space and to play together. It was so fun to document the sweet relationship between these girls as they told jokes and tickled one another. I used studio light in the master bedroom to ensure that the portraits were light and airy while still crisp, as the girls were very active.

Soon, we will go through the images from this session and choose the family’s favorites. I love to offer my artistic perspective while we are looking for portraits to use on the client’s walls. Mom is planning to have two framed images of each girl on her gallery wall. We are off to a good start with these dreamy newborn photos, and I cannot wait to complete the wall when Juliette is a little older and we have her next session.
