Newborn Baby Ella | New Jersey Studio Portraits
I have been so excited to work with Madison and her family again. You may remember Maddy from her first birthday portraits in our Maplewood, NJ, studio. They were living in Manhattan at the time and had a hard time finding a photographer with a light and natural editing style. I was so glad that they extended their search to New Jersey and found my website. While we were in the studio for Madison’s birthday session, her mom revealed that she was expecting another baby. Little sister Ella is here now, and I loved documenting this special time for such a sweet family.
Mom loves my natural style, which is bright and clean. She wanted beautiful images that would complement the ones that we created for Maddy’s birthday. The sisters are close in age, so mom especially wanted a lovely sibling portrait. Maddy was absolutely adorable and loved her baby sister so much. While newborn sessions typically focus on the newest addition to the family, some of my favorite images document these brand new sibling relationships. Madison and Ella already have such a sweet connection.
Mom and big sister, Maddy, are wearing dresses from the studio wardrobe. Mom picked them out during her in-studio wardrobe and session planning appointment. On the day of the session, I made sure to have her selections cleaned, steamed, and ready for wear. The studio wardrobe allows parents to cross outfit planning and preparation off their to-do list. I adore the dress that we chose for Maddy. It is a new addition to the wardrobe. I love the white eyelet details. It is actually similar to the outfit that Maddy wore for part of her first birthday portraits, so I know the images will complement each other when displayed in their new home.
One of the benefits of my natural editing style is that the images never go out of style. I am able to document a family throughout the years and have all of the images from all of the sessions look good together. Rather than changing my editing with the trends, I offer images that are timelessly beautiful. I hope that these sisters can look back and enjoy their portraits together for years to come.
