Gemma's Studio Newborn Session with Natural Light

Gemma's lovely parents came to my Upper West Side photography studio in Manhattan for some classic portraits of their sweet new baby and growing family. I often work with studio light for baby portraits, such as 6 month milestone sessions and first birthday photos, but I am really loving the results my studio's incredible natural light provided for the intimate moments and tiny details so special to a newborn photography session. 

For this session, I worked with the amazing Kristy Burrell Of Kristy Burrell Photography to create beautiful images Gemma and her parents will treasure for years to come. Kristy works exclusively with natural light and is know for her emotive portraits and beautiful use of shadow. I loved having another creative eye in my studio to push me to work new angles, compositions and explore new uses of my space. I regularly invest in continuing education, including mentoring with amazing artists like Kristy, and this session was nothing short of amazing.
