The Sweetest Twin Baby Studio Photography Session - Upper West Side Baby Photographer

First birthday portraits in studio are challenging because 12 month old babies are on the move! What’s more challenging? Twins! Photographing twins is great exercise and also great fun: wrangling these adorable babies feels more like play than work. Beautiful Naomi and handsome Thomas came to my Upper West Side studio for classic portraits to celebrate turning one and I had the best time chasing them around and capturing their adorable personalities.

These boy/girl twins each borrowed from my Studio Wardrobe, which ensured gorgeous images and made mama’s job so much easier. Scheduling time for portraits and getting everyone out of the house at a specific time is a feat when you have one baby. But mobile twin babies? Twin mamas are super human! Naomi and Thomas’s mom said she loved not having to think about wardrobe prior to the session. For fun before the session I sent mama a few favorite options, so she would know there would be lots of choose from. When everyone arrived for photos we settled on these cute outfits that have similar tones and textures, but sweet girlie details for Naomi. The neutral colors ensure their personalities and cute details (like beautiful lashes, tiny toes and delicious smiles) take center stage.

This session was shot with studio light, which I love when shooting babies on the move indoors, which is often necessary during winter New York City. Studio light ensures I capture movement without blur, regardless of the weather outside. It also keeps the photos bright, clean and classic. This style of portrait is perfect for hanging in your home regardless of decor, and will look great 30 years from now because they are timeless in a busy images often are not.

If your baby or babies are just so cute you cannot take it, they are so delicious you may actually eat them up, definitely consider a custom portrait session or even a Simply Baby Mini Session to capture those sweet details. We all know babies change so fast. I’m looking forward to seeing these cute twins and their whole family outdoors when the weather improves and can’t wait to see just how fast they run on two feet.
